What we collect
Tale Trail collects the minimum needed to run the service: your email address (for signing in), your household name and timezone, the first names and avatars you choose for your children, and reading activity: which stories were read, reading accuracy, and which words needed help. Children do not have accounts, email addresses, or passwords; they are profiles inside your parent account.
Voice and speech
Reading aloud is processed by your browser's built-in speech recognition. Tale Trail does not record, store, or transmit audio to its own servers. Only the resulting text match (which words were read correctly) is saved to track progress.
Where data lives
Data is stored with Supabase, our database provider, and is only accessible to the parent account that created it. We do not sell data, share it with advertisers, or use third-party advertising or tracking of any kind.
Emails
We send transactional emails only: sign-in codes, household invitations, and reward notifications you have set up. There is no marketing mailing list.
Your rights
You can delete a child's profile, including all their reading history, from the parent portal at any time. To delete your entire account and household, or to ask anything about your data, contact us at heath@nxtinnings.com.au.
